Is there a fee?
No, there is no fee for entering Middle Island or the Interpretive Centre/Museum.

When are you open?
We are happy to announce that the gates will open for the season on May 1st, 2023. Initial operating hours will be from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday to Sunday.

When is the museum open?
The museum will open on May 1st, 2023, from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM (Mon-Fri). Hours are subject to change.

Is there a place to eat?
Yes, there is a restaurant on site. We offer take-out and dine-in (Currently Closed).

What method of payment is available?
Our only method of payment is cash. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Is there a place to swim?
Yes, there is a beach, although no lifeguards are present. Please swim at your own risk.

Can we bring our dog?
Absolutely, as long as they are on a leash. You are responsible to pick up after them.

Can we BBQ?
Unfortunately, we do not allow BBQs on the Island but feel free to come in and dine at our restaurant or bring a picnic lunch.

Is there a boat dock?
No, unfortunately, we no longer have a boat dock.

Are there any restrooms?
We have two Port-A-Potties located near the Museum.

Are there any changing rooms?
Not at the present time, but we are currently working on it.

Can we park on the Island?
There is abundant parking on the Island. Parking on the causeway is not permitted.

Do you have Special Events?
We celebrate Irish Festival Sunday (July 17th, 2022, from 1:00 - 4:00 PM) and New Brunswick Day (August 1st, 2022, 1:00 - 4:00 PM). Stay tuned for updates this year (2023)!

Are there Picnic Shelters?
Yes, there are three and also a large Kiosk. Due to COVID-19, there are no tables available this summer.
